Ikuinyi O.Ibani  is a laughable one.  Dr. Dressman disclosed it recently after Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe Flagged-off a free medical care in Ataba yesterday. According to him, ''How can a former speaker go round to share one note book  to pupils'' he asked. The APC candidate said the children needs to be healthy before anything, stressing that his free medical care  to the people of Ataba and the entire Andoni   has always been his passion. He noted that the people in Andoni needs medical care, especially that of dental and eye treatment.  

All is now set for the commencment of free medical Health care in Andoni Local Goverment Area. The free medical care organized by Dr. Dressman Good Health Foundation, is expected to treat all those in the ANOLGA starting from Ataba today. According to a statement from Dr. Otogwung Romnsan Dressman, the exercise will begin on sunday the 27th of November 2016 and span through the week. Drama as the All Progressive Congress staged their ward rally at Andoni Local Government Area, in Ataba town where the former speaker to Rivers State House of assembly hails from. According to our source who witnessed the scene said, it was about 01:00pm on saturday after the APC held its meeting at the various ward level in Ataba town. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has reacted to the opposition by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to its choice of Chief Returning Officer for Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo. All is now set for the restructuring of the Niger Delter Development Commission in the four years. Nsima Ekere, managing director of NDDC made it known to newsmen recently at a meeting with the new board members in Abuja. Accordingly, the NDDC boss assured that the new board members will make some remarkable difference in the lives of the people in the Niger Delta. When explaining how, he said the commision will eliminate problems at the region, noting that banks will be held accountable if found wanting. The Senate on Tuesday has said it will engage with relevant stakeholders to avert the warning strike being planned by the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Recall ASUU had on Monday announced plans to embark on a one-week warning strike over the inability of government to implement agreements reached with its union since 2009. The move by the Senate to intervene in the matter followed a motion moved by Senator Jibrin Barau came under matters of urgency as the union had earlier unveil plans to begin their warning strike today Wednesday. The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, urged the chamber to intervene and ensure that the eight-year agreement was fully implemented. Our Procurement Processes will be Transparent, NDDC Chairman assures The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, is taking steps to strengthen its procurement processes as part of measures to ensure transparency in the interventionist agency. The Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), said this in an exclusive media briefing in Abuja, after an extra-ordinary meeting of the board on Monday. He underlined the importance of firming up the procurement unit and fine-tuning the processes for better transparency. The Rivers State Police Command has sealed up its plans to start arresting some set of cars with spy plate numbers/revolving lights by private individuals. According to a statement signed through the  Public Relation Officer, Omoni Nnamdi, reads "The attention of the Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to the indiscriminate use of SPY Plate Numbers/Revolving Lights by Private Individuals and Corporate Bodies, who brazenly drive against the Traffic, flagrantly disobey Traffic Rules & Regulations and perpetrate other criminal acts. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it will continue to conduct rerun in Rivers State if politicians fails to support the commission in creating a peaceful atmosphere.

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr Nsima Ekere , has promised that the 12-floor permanent headquarters of the Commission in Port Harcourt will be ready for inauguration by President Muhammadu Buhari before the end of next year. Mr Ekere made the pledge on Friday during an inspection of the headquarters complex accompanied by the Executive Director Projects, Engr. Samuel Adiogbe, the Executive Director Finance and Administration, Mr Mene Derek and other directors of the Commission. He said that the Commission would set up a taskforce to be headed by the Executive Director Projects to ensure that the project was completed before the target date, adding that he would like to have the privilege of inviting Mr President to inaugurate the new building.

Nigeria’s Nobel literature laureate Wole Soyinka has said that he would cut up his green card if United States presidential hopeful Donald Trump wins the US presidency, BBC reports. Speaking at the Oxford University in London, Soyinka said it was highly “unlikely that Trump would win the upcoming elections”. According to him “Well, I am not waiting for that. The moment they announce his victory, I will cut my green card myself and start packing up,” Soyinka was quoted as saying. Soyinka  is currently a scholar-in-residence at New York University’s Institute of African American Affairs. As at the time of filing the report the green card has not been seen cut.
