The drama between the embattled governor of Ekiti State went worse  when Peter Ayodele Fayose recently accused the wife of president Mohammed Buhari of being involved in the Haliburton scandal. In his accusation, governor Fayose said if the government of president Buhari was actually fighting curruption it would have looked into the money scandal which the wife's name Aisha Buhari was included. On the part of EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorode who was the former director of operations when reacting to the statement accredited to Ekiti state governor said, the name AISHA BUHARI mention among the people indicted in the Haliburton scandal was not refering to the wife of president Buhari. The All Progressives Congress (APC), has finalized plans to nominate a gubernetorial flagbearer for the forth coming Edo state election holding in September 2016. Sen. Osita Izunaso on Thursday at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja diclosed it to journalists that 2873 delegates would be electing the party’s governorship candidate for the primaries scheduled in 18th of June at the Edo State capital, Benin City. On the his part, the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Segun Oni in compliance has also inaugurated a seven-member election committee and three-member election appeal committee for the 2016 Edo State governorship election primaries. The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) has said it will continue to conduct rerun in Rivers State if politicians fails to support the commission in creating peaceful environment.  Mr. Iniedi Ikoiwak Abasi, state Resident Electoral Commissioner, made it known on Tuesday the 14th of June, 2016  in a consultative meeting with management and critical stakeholders at the Police Officers Mess, port harcort. The commissioner in giving his reasons said, the major set back that had led to the suspension of election in some parts of the state during March 19th rerun election was as a result of some unlawful practices by political gladiators who wanted to stay at home and cook up results. Sources diclosed that the wife Mrs. Kate Keshi died arround December 2015 following a protracted illness. According to a family brother named Ado who disclosed the news noted that  ''Keshi never recovered from the death of Kate; they were inseparable. He has gone to meet Kate. Since the wife died Keshi has kept on mourning and has been in sorrow. All these time Keshi has been acting, giving the impression that he was fine and man enough to bear the sorrow but the truth actually is that he was down and in pain over the death of his wife. From companionship to cooking and other domestic matters nobody could be like his wife to him; they were irreplaceable. A non-governmental group known to be Federation of Muslim Women’s Association (FOMWAN) has vowed to continue their humanitarian services amongst Nigerians.
