AMAC chapter of NULGE set to conduct election

All is now set for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) branch of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) election. The election is expected to take place on Thursday 27th 2020 at the AMAC  conference Hall in Abuja. Moses Jonathan  The outgoing chairman Comrade Moses Jonathan, while speaking to newsmen confirmed that all has been put in place for the smooth flow of the election including that of heavey security presence.  He urged all AMAC staff to come out en-mass and vote leaders of their choice that will pilot the activities of the union in the next few years and as well adequately protect them.  In continuing, he tasked contestants not to see the election as a do or die affairs but a call to service, He further advised whoever that emerges to embrace every member of the union and work in unity. In a bid to advance the nation's agricultural sector, the National Groundnut Producers Processors  and Marketers Association of Nigerian (NGROPPMAN) has described it's working visit to the Netherlands's Embassy at Lagos Nigeria as a roadmap to boost the nation's economy.  President of the association Hon. Aimu Foni said the move became necessary following the successes recorded by Nigeria's groundnuts in recent times.  Hon. Rivers: Over 18 witnesses confirms Awaras claim at Tribunal

The African Action Congress gubernatorial candidate Biokpomabo Awara in the March 9th Governorship election,  has closed his case at the ongoing Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. Biokpomabo  successfully presented 20 witnesses including himself during the tribunal proceedings. It was gathered that during his cross examination at the tribunal, he presented election results of 11 local government areas in Rivers State. He claimed that the results were the true certified copies for the governorship election in Rivers State. In continuing, the panel also fixed  another date for the second petitioner in the matter, African Action Congress AAC. Meanwhile, Emenike Ibete, lawyer to Biokpomabo Awara at the tribunal said they have proven their case to the best of their ability at the tribunal. Abuja: Ohanaeze unveils activities for 2019 Igbo Day

All is now set to mark the 2019 "Igbo Day" celebration in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on the 29th of September. According to the chairman planning committee Mr. Kachi Ihieme, the theme of the event is "Promoting Culture of Peace for Socio-economic Development," and it is expected to kick start on the 22nd of September with an interdenominational church service. Dolapo Badmus, the Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer has confirmed the arrest of the woman filmed flogging a boy and locking him in a dog cage. Confirming the arrest via her Instagram, Dolapo Badmus thanked everyone that cooperated with the police in getting to the root of the matter. She wrote; "Last week we got a report of a lady that beat a young lad and threw him into dungeon of dogs! As I got the information through @funkejenifaakindele and @do2dtun, the domestic violence response police team of Lagos State command was activated!
