NDDC wants powers devolve into State offices, Do you agree with Nsima Ekere? Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere has disclosed that a policy shift to devolve more operational powers to NDDC State Offices is ongoing. Ekere disclosed this during a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Edidem Etim Daniel Charles Abia, Paramount Ruler of Eket, Akwa Ibom State. "The process of devolving more powers to NDDC State Offices to make them more operationally efficient is ongoing. We want to have a situation where State Offices do not need to run to the Port Harcourt headquarters for everything they need." Ikuinyi O.Ibani  is a laughable one.  Dr. Dressman disclosed it recently after Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe Flagged-off a free medical care in Ataba yesterday. According to him, ''How can a former speaker go round to share one note book  to pupils'' he asked. The APC candidate said the children needs to be healthy before anything, stressing that his free medical care  to the people of Ataba and the entire Andoni   has always been his passion. He noted that the people in Andoni needs medical care, especially that of dental and eye treatment.

All is now set for the commencment of free medical Health care in Andoni Local Goverment Area. The free medical care organized by Dr. Dressman Good Health Foundation, is expected to treat all those in the ANOLGA starting from Ataba today. According to a statement from Dr. Otogwung Romnsan Dressman, the exercise will begin on sunday the 27th of November 2016 and span through the week. The statement however enjoins residents living in Andoni to come out in their numbers as team of medical expert will be on ground check ing their health.

Breaking: APC takes over home of former PDP speaker in Rivers

Drama as the All Progressive Congress staged their ward rally at Andoni Local Government Area, in Ataba town where the former speaker to Rivers State House of assembly hails from. According to our source who witnessed the scene said, it was about 01:00pm on saturday after the APC held its meeting at the various ward level in Ataba town. It was gathered that not quite long, the whole village came out enmass jubilating for what they term as 'victory for APC' in the forth coming rerun. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has reacted to the opposition by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to its choice of Chief Returning Officer for Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo. Reacting to the clean-up exercise that was flagged by President Mohammadu Buhari, she noted that all resources have been made available and the money has been released. 200,000 Nigerians to start receiving pay on N-power

Atleast over 199,000 youths will start benefiting their monthly allowances from the federal government N-power scheme. Mr. Laolu Akande made it known to newsmen recently when he said 40% of the selected names came based on the number of applications per state, stressing that  a special mark-up for the 6 states of the northeast and a discretionary addition for states with low numbers of applicants. All is now set for the restructuring of the Niger Delter Development Commission in the four years. Nsima Ekere, managing director of NDDC made it known to newsmen recently at a meeting with the new board members in Abuja. Accordingly, the NDDC boss assured that the new board members will make some remarkable difference in the lives of the people in the Niger Delta. When explaining how, he said the commision will eliminate problems at the region, noting that banks will be held accountable if found wanting. In doing so, he said  the commission will demand back any money paid to the  bank that guaranteed a said project if the contractor fails or where the work done doesn’t justify the money that was paid. Mr Ekere said that the board has also discussed restructuring the balance sheet of the NDDC, stressing that it would involve carrying out a project audit.
