Ahead of the Edo state governorship election in 2024, there are yearnings for power rotation.

Odiahi Thomas said what the state needs now is a youthful governor that will continue in bringing development to the state which he noted that Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun is the best choice.

According to him, "Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun is one man that possesses all the prerequisites that should be found in anyone willing to take over the mantle of leadership of Edo from Governor Godwin Obaseki.

"He is a young man with vast and robust understanding of what governance entails and should be. Haven't worked with the Obaseki led administration as the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun knows the aims, objectives and importances of the MEGA AGENDA of Governor Godwin Obaseki and thus will ensure full sustainability of all its ideas and quest.

"He is one of the brightest and strong political force from Edo Central and does not need any further introduction to anyone that is politically involved or inclined. The name Marcus Onobun, is a well known household name as far as Edo politics is concerned.

"With his vast experience and relationships across the entire State with noble men, women and youths, Rt. Hon Marcus Onobun will obviously be the best bet come 2024 governorship race."
