Rivers: Over 18 witnesses confirms Awaras claim at Tribunal

The African Action Congress gubernatorial candidate Biokpomabo Awara in the March 9th Governorship election,  has closed his case at the ongoing Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Biokpomabo  successfully presented 20 witnesses including himself during the tribunal proceedings.

It was gathered that during his cross examination at the tribunal, he presented election results of 11 local government areas in Rivers State.

He claimed that the results were the true certified copies for the governorship election in Rivers State.



In continuing, the panel also fixed  another date for the second petitioner in the matter, African Action Congress AAC.

Meanwhile, Emenike Ibete, lawyer to Biokpomabo Awara at the tribunal said they have proven their case to the best of their ability at the tribunal.


DIKE UDENNA, the co-lawyer of Governor Nyesom Wike also speak more on the outcome at the tribunal.

For his part, the lawyer to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Woyike Livingstone said the commission will abide by any decision of the court.
