Jubilation as Etuwewe Conferred SAN

It was a moment of celebration for the people of Niger Delta, especially the Itsekiri Nation and Omateye family of Bateren Community in Delta State as Ama Etuwewe was conferred  Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) alongside 38 others.


The event which took place immediately after the 2019 Legal Year held in Abuja on Monday the 23rd of September, was greeted with lots of celebration as colleagues, clergies old friends and dignitaries from all works of life gathered at Sheraton Hotel in honour of the newly conferred SAN.

Some of the dignitaries in attendance are; His Excellency, the former governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduahagan  who also doubled as the Chairman of the Occasion, Sen. Victor Ita-Enang. Others includes; The Olu of Warri, Nigeria Barr Association (Delta State) and many other dignitaries too numerous to mention.



GOODWILL MESSAGES
Dr. Rolland Orisojafor one of the representatives of  "Olu of Warri"  described the newly sworn in SAN as a committed and focus legal practitioner. He expressed satisfaction over Etuwewe's new title, noting that it is a pleasant thing for the Itsekiri people to see one of their son attaining such heights.

Hon. Omene Precious 

For Omene Precious, the confirmation of Etuwewe as a SAN is huge success to  the famous old boys Association of Sapele. According to Honourable Precious, he is the first to attain such position since the school was founded in 1952.




On his part, the celebrant Ama Etuwewe (SAN) however thanked God for making it possible for his new title in the legal profession. He further thanked everyone  who contributed to his success.


Narrating his story was another session of comics, humour and suspense which led to a minute silence in honour of his late father and father in-law for their immense support and contributions in mentoring him.

Celebrating with Etuwewe was his beloved wife and their four children. Reacting to the the historic event Miriam Etuwewe (one of the daughter) expressed gladness. She prayed for greater heights and more achievements in every of her Dad's endeavours.
The Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Ifeanyi Okowa 

While the celebration continues, the Executive Governor of Delta State His Excellency Ifeanyi Okowa, has joined in congratulating Etuwewe and others.
In his words "Your sound command of the practice and ethics of the profession undoubtedly earned you your promotion to the enviable rank of Senior Advocate.##

The name Dr. Edwin Clark has become one household name many Nigerians eulogies virtually in all parts of the country, especially at the Niger Delta region.   During the unveiling of his book titled " Brutally Frank"  the president Urhobo Leadership Forum, Chief Jonathan Esin described Dr. Clark as an elder statesman known to be very passionate when advocating for fairness, objectivity and inclusiveness when it comes to governance. Addressing newsmen, he said he met him while in school at the Amadu Bello University when he was a commissioner of the old Bende state, stressing that he has  ever been energetic in pursuing what he believes in. Chief Esin further called on Nigerians to emulate Dr. Edwin Clark for his continuous inputs to nationa building, noting that he has been very frank in handling national issues and could be likened to "the voice crying in the wilderness" as pertaining the agitation for the development of Niger Delta region.
