While felicitating with workers all over the world, he commended them for their ability to work tirelessly in repositioning the state among the league of states in the federation, despite the backlog of salaries and pension been owed them by the Rivers-State Government.

He further advised that a "quality and affordable welfare of workers funding should be considered". He praised the former governor of the state, Chibuike Amaechi  noting that "Rivers workers had a better opportunity and attention under the previous administration of Rotimi Amaechi".

In continuing, he noted that the state has  collapesd under the watch of Barr. Nyesome wike as the governor, adding that the educational sector is suffering massive decline, as compared to the glory days of Rt, Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of Rivers-State. He noted the funding for the educational sector had also remained abysmally low, and agreements entered into by the previous government and private security firms to secure the modern schools built had experienced serious setbacks resulting from the authorities penchant for reneging.

In another development, he enjoined the workers to support president Mohammadu Buhari led Federal Government for doing great when addressing the needs of Nigeria's workers.###
