 The winner elect of the just concluded election in Anambra state, governor Obiano Willie has applauded president Mohammadu Buhari for his leadership style. Governor Obiano in a statement shortly after he was declared winner by INEC said "My first and deepest gratitude goes to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari for proving to Ndi Anambra that under his watch, democracy will sink deeper roots in the Nigerian soil. Mr President promised us a free and fair election. Today, we can all see that he has kept his promise. Thank you so much Mr President!

"I must also thank the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what has been widely adjudged a transparent election in Anambra State. With this election, INEC has shown that it has fully braced up for the 2019 elections. Thank you so much.

APC postpones sale of nomination/expression forms indefinitely, sacks directors

By Caleb Ishaya The ruling All Progressives Congress APC, has reschedule the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms for elective positions which was originally fixed for today. Report indicates that the new leadership of the party has also sent all the six directors at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja on compulsory leave. It was gathered that the rescheduling of the sale of forms was informed by the inability of the contractor handling the printing of the forms to deliver on time. At the close of work yesterday, the APC Directorate of Organisation was yet to take delivery of the forms. It was also gathered that the party was yet to fine-tune the guidelines for the sale of the forms and the primaries.
