Etche/Omuma poll: Police Dares Politicians from moving

The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that after due consultation with relevant Stake- Holders, superintending over the forth coming conclusive Elections in Etche Local Government Area, the following Restriction Orders are hereby made to wit:
That there will be total restriction of movement of persons and vehicles between the Hours of 12 Midnight on Friday 24th February, 2017 and 6pm on Saturday 25th February 2017 both on land and waterways.
The Command further wishes to emphasize that important personalities (VIPs) and Politicians are barred from going to any voting centre with their security details. They are also warned to desist from moving from one place to another on the Election Day, as provided under the Electoral Act.
Movement is only allowed from place of abode to voting centre and back.
The Police and other Security Agencies will be moving around to ensure that these orders are strictly complied with.

Once again the Ag Commissioner of police, DCP Ahmed Magaji appeals for the continued support and cooperation of the members of the public as the order is intended to provide conducive atmosphere to conduct free, fair, credible and violence free Election that will stand the test of time. Urging the people of Etche to come out in their numbers to exercise their civic responsibilities without fear of intimidation, as the Police will be on hand to ensure their safety.

The name Dr. Edwin Clark has become one household name many Nigerians eulogies virtually in all parts of the country, especially at the Niger Delta region.   During the unveiling of his book titled " Brutally Frank"  the president Urhobo Leadership Forum, Chief Jonathan Esin described Dr. Clark as an elder statesman known to be very passionate when advocating for fairness, objectivity and inclusiveness when it comes to governance.
