IG approves training for various cadres in Police

TRAINING PROGRAMME OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES FOR THE 2016 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE



The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni has approved beginning from Saturday December 31st 2016, the Training Programme for various Cadres of Applicants who were adjudged successful in the recently concluded 2016 Recruitment Exercise into the Nigeria Police Force at designated Training Schools Nationwide.


2. The Recruitment Exercise was jointly conducted by the Police Service Commission (PSC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and the Nigeria Police Force in compliance with Presidential Directives.


3. Sixteen (16) Police Training Institutions across the country have been set aside for   the Training Exercise. Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police are to report at the Police Staff College Jos, while Cadet Inspectors will train at the Police College Ikeja. Recruit Constables are to report at Police Training School Nonwa Tai, Rivers State.


4. Applicants for the 2016 Recruitment Exercise are to check at the Police Headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, for the publication of the comprehensive list of successful candidates and  Course requirements.


5. Successful Candidates are enjoined to report to their designated Training centres along with the Original Copies of their Certificates and Credentials as well as Training kits specified such as: One Bucket, One Broom, Two Pairs of White Canvass, One Cutlass, Two White Shorts, Two Diamond White Singlets, One Pair of Black Canvass and Socks.


6. State Governments, Local Governments, Religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, NGOs, CSOs and members of the public who have genuine and reliable objection or information to the character, conduct or personality, traits of those selected should submit such objections or information to the Commissioner of Police Rivers State Command within three weeks of this publication. 


         The Commissioner of Police Rivers State Police Command, CP Francis M. Odesanya on behalf of the Command wishes all the Recruits success in their Training and urges them to take their Training Course seriously.

What Jonathan said about Dr Edwin Clark...

The name Dr. Edwin Clark has become one household name many Nigerians eulogies virtually in all parts of the country, especially at the Niger Delta region.   During the unveiling of his book titled " Brutally Frank"  the president Urhobo Leadership Forum, Chief Jonathan Esin described Dr. Clark as an elder statesman known to be very passionate when advocating for fairness, objectivity and inclusiveness when it comes to governance. Addressing newsmen, he said he met him while in school at the Amadu Bello University when he was a commissioner of the old Bende state, stressing that he has  ever been energetic in pursuing what he believes in. Chief Esin further called on Nigerians to emulate Dr. Edwin Clark for his continuous inputs to nationa building, noting that he has been very frank in handling national issues and could be likened to "the voice crying in the wilderness" as pertaining the agitation for the development of Niger Delta region.
