As 2019 general election draws near, no fewer that 45 political parties in Rivers State have floated a new body contrary to Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC). According to the spokes person of the group, Pastor Ezekiel Warigbani while addressing newsmen recently said the group "Concerned Political Party Chairmen" CPPC was formed in alliance with over forty political parties in Rivers state. He noted that the move was to galvanize support for good governance in the state as well, coming together to field a befitting candidate that will oust governor Nyesome Wike in 2019. The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has reinstated that the national chairman of People's Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus allegedly received a huge sum of amount in 2014.
