Shocking! Ex-Army Chief Minimah Refunds N1.7b to EFCC Former Chief of Army Staff Gen. Kenneth Minimah (retd) has refunded about N1.7billion to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), The Nation learnt at the weekend . Besides, there were indications that another former Chief of Army Staff and some ex-military officers might be arraigned in court for alleged corrupt practices relating to “phoney” arms contracts. The legal unit of the EFCC is fine-tuning charges against the suspects. But a status report on Gen. Minimah, who was the Army Chief from January 2014 to July 2015, indicates that he has returned some cash to the EFCC. We will Create Tourism-Based Economy for Niger Delta, NDDC Chairman The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC , Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), has given assurances that the Commission will collaborate with the    National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, NANTA , to create a tourism-based economy in the Niger Delta region. LAGOS POLICE ARREST BADOO CULT LEADER, CHIEF HERBALIST  ...Demolish Shrine In Imosan Village The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday made a major breakthrough in the fight against the menace of Badoo cult with the arrest of the group's herbalist, Fatai Adebayo alias Alese. The notorious activities of the dreaded cult group prevalent in Ikorodu and Epe axis of the State had sent many of the victims to their early graves with cruel killings through the smashing of mortar and pestle on victims' heads. This year promises to be pivotal in our quest for CHANGE.   Unfortunately, I am saddened to acknowledge that for many this Christmas and New Year holidays have been anything but merry and happy. Instead of showing love, companionship and charity, some of our compatriots chose this period to inflict severe hardship on us all by creating unnecessary fuel scarcity across the country.  The consequence was that not many could travel and the few who did had to pay exorbitant transport fares.
