As 2019 general election draws near, no fewer that 45 political parties in Rivers State have floated a new body contrary to Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC). According to the spokes person of the group, Pastor Ezekiel Warigbani while addressing newsmen recently said the group "Concerned Political Party Chairmen" CPPC was formed in alliance with over forty political parties in Rivers state. He noted that the move was to galvanize support for good governance in the state as well, coming together to field a befitting candidate that will oust governor Nyesome Wike in 2019. The national chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshomole has plead to unite aggrieved APC members .
