As 2019 general election draws near, no fewer that 45 political parties in Rivers State have floated a new body contrary to Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC). According to the spokes person of the group, Pastor Ezekiel Warigbani while addressing newsmen recently said the group "Concerned Political Party Chairmen" CPPC was formed in alliance with over forty political parties in Rivers state. He noted that the move was to galvanize support for good governance in the state as well, coming together to field a befitting candidate that will oust governor Nyesome Wike in 2019. In his words "The Concerned Political Party Chairmen on Rivers State after a critical meeting held today 25/07/2018 wish to intimate the general public that we are separate body from IPAC and not in anyway controlled by IPAC and it's leadership but are authentic members of IPAC in the State.
