"The President General Barr. Chizy Enyi and members of the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership has berated and condemned Gov. Nyesom Wike on what it tags "unseriouseness and uncivilised" way of running Rivers State Government by refusing to allocate portfolios to Commissioners weeks after swearing in.
Its very unfortunate that weeks after swearing in of the commissioners, Gov. Wike has left the state in the dark by refusing to allocate portfolios to the commissioners to properly function, no payment of local government salaries for over three (3) months, refusing to make public the state budget, no advert for contracts, unemployment at the highest level which led to 8,000 persons as claimed by Barr. Dike Amadi to be physically present walking in the streets of port harcourt for Wike, no payment of pensioners arrears and travelled to unknown destination.
We have neither seen nor heard from any part of the world that government is been run the way Gov. Wike is handling the affairs of Rivers state. We are aware that Rivers state is not a personal estate that requires the discretion of one man as is currently the case at hand.
We are of the opinion that for Rivers state to go on, the commissioners that has been sworn in should head the ministries of their choice and be address as follows;
Emma Okah 1,
Charles Nwogu 2,
Walter Ibibia 3,
Dr. Tam Jaja 4,
Ukel Oyagiri 5,
Isaac Kamalu 6,
Albert Miller 7,
Boma Iyaye 8,
Emeka Onowu 9,
Prof. Princewill Chike 10, Tasie Nwobueze 11,
Sylvanus Nwankwo 12, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku 13 Rodaford Longjohn 14.
We can not continue to wait for one man whose interest is to blackmail and blacklist perceived political opponents. Rivers state must move on and we can't wait for anybody including Gov. Wike.
We urge the commissioners to prevail on Gov. Wike to stop meddling into the affairs of local government areas and release all their outstanding salaries
Enyi Chizy,
President General,
Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership,
(Aka Integrity Watchdog)."
