Army says no going back on Python D ance Ahead of its commencement, the Nigerian army has released call lines, social media handles dedicated for Operation Python Dance also known as ‘Exercise Egwu Eke II.’ The army said the operation will take off fully in the South-east from September 15 to October 2017 to check criminal agitators and other forms of criminal activities. In a statement on Wednesday, the Deputy Director, Public Relations, 82 Division of the Army, Musa Sagir said the operation would cover states in the South-east and South-south. He listed the states to include Cross River, Enugu, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Imo state. NDDC Boss vows to support security agencies The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr. Nsima Ekere, has pledged a continued support for the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies in their efforts to provide security in the Niger Delta region. Mr. Ekere gave the assurance at a ceremony to decorate 6 promoted police officers working with him at the NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt. The policemen were decorated as Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, by the NDDC Chief Executive Officer and the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Zaki.
