Gov Zulum drums support for Christian Chairman

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has called on President Muhammadu Buhari, his fellow governors and other stakeholders in the party to support the candidature of the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume the next All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman. INEC RELEASES CALENDAINEC RELE ASES CALENDAR FOR CAMPAIGNS OVER 2023 PRESIDENTIAL AND GUBERNITORIAL ELECTIONS R FOR CAMPAIGNS OVER 2023 PRESIDENTIAL AND GUBERNITORIAL ELECTIONS The National Independent Electoral Commission, INEC – have released calendar and political itinerary in 2022 in Nigeria. The calendar is consists of political activities bordering the 2023 presidential and gubernatorial elections in the country. According to the calendar released by the INEC, starting from March 2022 the commission will give guidelines to the respective parties to conduct primary election that will birth flag bearers. The calendar made it clear that by April 2022, campaign for presidential and gubernatorial elections will kick off, whereby, May 2022, there will be party Congresses across Nigeria. A top stakeholder in the All Progressive Congress has said there is no factional chairman in the party ahead of the forth coming national convention.   Mr. Bashir Gegu told newsmen shortly after the caretaker chairman His excellency governor Bala Buni inaugurated thirty-six state chairmen and that of the Federal capital Territory at the party's National secretariat, at Abuja.  The man who allegedly sold out Rivers State Chapter of the Alliance Action Congress  AAC during the 2019 governorship election has been sent away by a disciplinary committee. According to a letter signed by the chapter's Secretary Mr. Victor Akpati holds that the said Mr. Nneye Kocha is now  kicked out as the acting chairman and also from being a member of the AAC as recommended by the disciplinary committee. As at the press time, Mr Kocha is yet to react.
