In just few hours to the the swearing in of Sen Bola Amed Tinubu and his vice Sen Kashim Shettima, a foremost youth leader FBI Oyefeso has reassured Nigerians that the government of Tinubu/Shettima will incorporate and favour the youths as promised.
FBI Oyefeso during a roundtable dinner in preparation for the presidential swearing in told newsmen that the incoming president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man known for empowering and creating jobs.
Earlier, he commended Nigerians for exercising their franchise amidst the threat many persons went through during the pre-electioneering period.
Speaking further, he expressed confidence and hope, calling on other Nigerians to give the incoming president all the needed supports in delivering good governance.
The program which held yesterday at the Federal Capital Territory had dignitaries from all parts of the nation which include; former FCT Minister Alh Aliyu Modibo Umar, Special Assistant to the Speaker Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila Hon. He claims he is innocent and should never have been convicted in the first place. Convicted for the 1953 murders of two people at the age of 15, the man has maintained his innocence for more than half a century. You have to hear his story. Seventy nine year old Joseph Ligon, was fifteen years old when he was tried and convicted for the stabbing deaths of Charles Pitts and Jackson Hamm. Five other youths were also charged. The deaths were the result of a gang brawl. Developmentally disabled, he admitted he had been part of the melee, but did not stab the two youths who were killed, and he has maintained his innocence throughout his ordeal.
