Amaechi, the Buhari's anointed candidate fit for the job

Amaechi, the Buhari's anointed candidate fit for the job
Written By Ima Shedrack There are high indications that president Mohamadu Buhari has adopted the Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi as his successor after serving as the president of Nigeria for two consecutive times. This could be deduced by the body language of the president within a short period of time following some current activities happening in the All Progressives Congress. Firstly, the All Progressives Congress successfully zoned her party's presidential seat to South which foreclosed other aspirants from indicating interests. Secondly, Buhari during APC national convention insinuated that the highest bidder must always not get the ticket, understanding the fact that the former governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Bola Tinibu was already at the forefront. Amidst the long silence of the president's successor, the Minister for Transportation, Rt Hon. Rotimi Amaechi today made a formal declarations of his intention to aspire for the position of the president. The former governor of Rivers State during his declaration at Adokiye Amesiema international stadium said he is submitting to aspire for the office of the president. According to him "I stand before you today to declare my intention and submit my application to serve as your next president" The minister went further to thank president Buhari noting that without him he wouldn't have been where he is today. "I could not have gone this far without the support of President Mohamadu Buhari." -Rotimi Amaechi Recalled, this was barely few weeks after president Buhari brought in Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as consensus candidate for APC national chairman that will pilot the activities of the party for the next tenure. In another development, president Buhari in a live TV interview told Nigerians that if he unveils his successor too early the successor may likely be killed. The statement further kept Nigerians wondering who could that successor be. It is on record that the president has always promised Nigerians of a good transition which may likely be the Rotimi Amaechi's factor and as well considereing a youthful leader that understands the plight of the masses especially what Nigerians are clamouring for. Seemingly, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi emergence as Buhari's presidential Director General in 2015 and 2019 os enough reason that he will likely succeed his principal Mohamadu Buhari come 2023.
