Jubilation as Etuwewe Conferred SAN It was a moment of celebration for the people of Niger Delta, especially the Itsekiri Nation and Omateye family of Bateren Community in Delta State as Ama Etuwewe was conferred  Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) alongside 38 others. The event which took place immediately after the 2019 Legal Year held in Abuja on Monday the 23rd of September, was greeted with lots of celebration as colleagues, clergies old friends and dignitaries from all works of life gathered at Sheraton Hotel in honour of the newly conferred SAN. Some of the dignitaries in attendance are; His Excellency, the former governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduahagan  who also doubled as the Chairman of the Occasion, Sen. Victor Ita-Enang. Rivers: Over 18 witnesses confirms Awaras claim at Tribunal

The African Action Congress gubernatorial candidate Biokpomabo Awara in the March 9th Governorship election,  has closed his case at the ongoing Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. Biokpomabo  successfully presented 20 witnesses including himself during the tribunal proceedings. It was gathered that during his cross examination at the tribunal, he presented election results of 11 local government areas in Rivers State. He claimed that the results were the true certified copies for the governorship election in Rivers State. In continuing, the panel also fixed  another date for the second petitioner in the matter, African Action Congress AAC. Meanwhile, Emenike Ibete, lawyer to Biokpomabo Awara at the tribunal said they have proven their case to the best of their ability at the tribunal. Abuja: Ohanaeze unveils activities for 2019 Igbo Day

All is now set to mark the 2019 "Igbo Day" celebration in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on the 29th of September. According to the chairman planning committee Mr. Kachi Ihieme, the theme of the event is "Promoting Culture of Peace for Socio-economic Development," and it is expected to kick start on the 22nd of September with an interdenominational church service. While the grandfinale will be held  at the Old Parade Ground Garki Abuja. Earlier, the president of the Ohnaeze Abuja chapter, Mr. Odozi Nwodozi noted that the event is open to all, stressing that dignitaries to attend will be well  protected.
