Rivers Poll: Declare Engr Awara winner - Enlightened Rivers Youths to INEC

The Enlightened Rivers State Youths have joined in calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to release results and declare Engr. Biokpomabo Aawara the winner of the suspended election held on March 9th  2019.

According the the coordinator of the group Comrade Tonye Tom-George, who said the call became imperative following the delay of INEC to declare Engr. Aware winner.

"We call on INEC to respect the solemn call and decision of our people and declare the people's Choice and elected Governor His Excellency, Biokpomabo AWARA of African Action Congress, winner of the Rivers State 2019 governorship election.
Rivers State is our divine heritage and it is our God's given duty to rebuild the fallen walls of our great state."

"The Enlightened Youths of Rivers State will stand fearlessly on the path of this epoch making history and join our voices with that of Rivers State People to say No to anyone who for personal interest have decided to steal the votes of the Rivers people."

"We maintain that INEC should be an independent umpire and not reduce itself to a political tool in the hands of the incumbent Governor of Rivers state.
Our message is simple and clear, INEC declare the people's choice His Excellency Biokpomabo Festus Awara of African Action Congress winner of the 2019 Rivers state Governorship election."

"To our members, this is our time. Our time to make Rivers State great again. We enjoin you all to stand firm. We were born for this and for this we shall stand." ##

Seventy nine year old Joseph Ligon, was fifteen years old when he was tried and convicted for the stabbing deaths of Charles Pitts and Jackson Hamm. Five other youths were also charged. The deaths were the result of a gang brawl.
