Could this be love? Final Year Student Commits Suicide After Quarrel With Girlfriend...

A young man identified as Prince Daniel, a final year student of Isaac Jasper Boro college of Education, Sagbama, Bayelsa state, committed suicide after misunderstanding with his girlfriend who was reported to have left him for another guy. The deceased who is said to be the only son of his father, killed himself by drinking a bottle of sniper, which damaged his lungs and other major parts of his intestines on Tuesday morning, 4th September 2018. The estranged girlfriend is said to be final year student from same school, who hails from Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state. Prince was buried in his hometown, Kaiama local government area of Kwara state on the same day. This incident is coming two months after a student of Niger Delta university, Ayuba Daniel, also committed suicide by drinking sniper. Ayuba Daniel was a student of Niger Delta university in Bayelsa state, who committed suicide after he discovered that he had carry over in his courses.

BREAKING: Shekarau Defects From PDP To APC

 A former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Shekarau announced his decision to join the ruling party after a closed-door meeting with the national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole. The closed-door meeting was held on Friday in Kano State. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and other top party officials were also at the meeting. Shekarau while announcing his defection said he believes that given by the current state of the political situation in Nigeria, it is important he moves to the APC. Former LGA aspirant in Andoni dumps PDP as APC Ward 11 gears up for 2019 election

A  2015 front line aspirant in Andoni Local Government Area under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party, Comrade Peter Igbifa, has unveiled why he left PDP for APC.  Mr Ibifa made this known in an enlarged ANDONI STAKEHOLDERS MEETING OF APC WARD 11. He noted that his defection became necessary following the failure on the part of PDP not doing what was right after Governor Nyesome Wike  emerged in 2015. Mr. Igbifa however expressed satisfaction to work with all arms and members of the party APC especially in Ward 11, which according to him is the strongest Ward in Andoni. I Can’t Afford N55m Presidential Ticket — Buhari Tells APC

Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari has told the National Working Committee members of his party "All Progressive Congress" that N55 million is too high for him to afford in purchasing a presidential ticket. According to the outlet, a member of the National Executive Committee of the party revealed that the President “has complained to the party that he could not afford it”. The President had four years ago complained over the N27.5 million nomination forms for the Presidential ticket and had argued that if he had his way, he would have ensured downward review of the fees. But the National Working Committee of the APC has reviewed the nomination forms upward to the tune of N55 million. While the Presidential Nomination form goes for N50 million, the Expression of Interest Form costs N5 million.
