Rivers Politics: Engr. Ngerebara lauds Amaechi over 2019 Election... Calls on party members to support the Power Rotation Ideology of APC

The president general of Free Rivers Development Initiative, Engr. Sampson Ngerebara has applauded the South South Leader of APC, Rt. Hon. The 2015 governorship candidate for the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside  has pledged to support Tonye Dele Cole ahead of 2019 general election. APC releases authentic timetable for primaries...

The All Progressives Congress is said to have released  their party's timetable for primaries ahead of the 2019 general election. Accordingto source who was part of the NEC  meeting today noted as follows; Presidency 26th of Sept. House of Representatives Sept. 27th Governorship Sept 29th House of Assembly October 2nd. Sale of forms starts on the 1st of September. Earliar, the APC NEC said  primary  Elections into all elective offices shall be by direct or indirect elections or by consensus. Laterun it  was however concluded that there will be indirect primaries at the  State levels, while that of the national  will be Direct primaries.

A man identified as Victor Nwobuike escaped death by whiskers after his wife, Mrs. Stella Robert Iwu and her sister, Chioma allegedly attacked him with Broken bottles. According to an eyewitness and Facebook User, Nnamdi Obiakalusi, Chioma Iwu reportedly stabbed Nwobuike Severally as seen in the photos below.  In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Nwobuike claims that his wife wants him dead over his inability to give her a male child. According to a report by The Punch, the youths numbered around 15 and created tension in the area on Wednesday as the fire destroyed court documents before it could be quenched. The spokesperson of the Imo State Police Command,  Andrew Enwerem , confirmed the incident and disclosed that the state's Commissioner of Police,  Daduki Galadanchi , has mandated the Area Commander in charge of Orlu zone to commence full investigations into the case of suspected arson. NDDC Restores Failed Okigwe-Arondizuogu-Akokwa Road

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has through its emergency interventions restored the failed sections of the Okigwe-Arondizuogu-Akokwa Road in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State. Speaking after inspecting the major federal highway linking Imo and Abia states, the Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, promised that more kilometres would be added to the project to connect several other communities. The NDDC Chairman was accompanied on the inspection by the Commission’s Executive Director Projects, Engr. Dr Samuel Adjogbe, FNSE; Imo State Representative on the NDDC Board, Hon Chuka Ama-Nwauwa,  and other directors of the Commission. Rivers 2019: A cry for riverine governor ~written by Barr Owen

In recent times, the media have been inundated with brilliant arguments that power must rotate to the Riverine section of Rivers State. This aspiration no doubt is predicated on the dogged principle of equity and justice aiming at building a virile and egalitarian Rivers state where every section would feel a sense of belonging. Little wonder that a people that produce the bulk of the natural resources for the sustenance of the state and the nation cannot access the seat of power of the state to determine how the resources are applied for the development of the state. They are being systematically pushed to the periphery to serve as second fiddle in the state. Unfortunately, in Rivers state brick house, spare tyres never had opportunity to ride the car of governance.
