Community demands 50million from Agip for a dead Crocodile  - nationaldailyng By IFEOMA IKEM Okpai community in Ndokwa East is a host community to Agrip Oil Company, Delta, where the company manages the largest gas plant in sub-Saharan Africa. National Daily gathered that the community demanded 50 million naira for the death of a crocodile during the process of company’s operational activity in the area It was learnt that the incident occurred on Friday,18 of August, 2017. A source told our reporter that the crocodile is a deity in Okpai community which they believe on and worship which they commit their affairs annually. Further investigations gathered that the community has stopped all the activities of the company in the area until funeral ceremony is carried out to appease the god of their land. According to the source he said before work will start in any of the Agrip site the crocodile must be given a befitting burial to avoid disaster in their community by ancestors.

Unbelievable! Senate amends Nigeria's Electoral Act. The Nigeria's Senate has passed the Electoral Act No. 6 2010 (Amendment) Bill 2017 into law. 1. There shall now be full biometric accreditation of voters with Smart Card Readers and/or other technological devices, as INEC may introduce for elections from time to time. 2. Presiding Officers must now instantly transmit accreditation data and results from Polling Units to various collation centers. Presiding officer who contravene this shall be imprisoned for at least 5 years (no option of fine). 3. All Presiding Officer must now first record accreditation data and polling results on INEC’s prescribed forms before transmitting them. The data/result recorded must be the same with what they transmitted. 4. INEC now has unfettered powers to conduct elections by electronic voting. 5. 25yr old adult student kills Neighbor for ritual Information at hand has it that a 25yr old student of Uniport under the faculty of Science has killed an 8yr old girl by name miss Victory for rituals. According to an eyewitness who spoke in anonymity said the incident happened at Eliozu town in Obio/Akpor LGA in Rivers State, where Mr. Ifeanyi Dike and the victim lived as neighbours.
