Flash: Protesters shuts down Wikes residence

What seems to be unprecedented was captured in Rivers State as thousands of indigenes from all works of life staged a peaceful protests against governor Nyesome Ezenwo Wike at his residence beside government house in William Jumbo.

According to the placards of the protesters, they accused the governor for threatening the life of an INEC staff in an audio tape, alleging that the governor was responsible for all the killings and most misfortunes in the state.

When addressing the press, the 2015 deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asita O. Asita, said a lot of things led to the peaceful protest. He said some of them include an audio tape which governor was caught threatening an INEC staff and that of the governor's request to transfer some key security men that refuse to accept bribe.

Meanwhile, when contacted governor Wike he said, he will not be distracted by such issues, stressing that he has a focus on achieving some developmental strides in the state.
