"Rivers state shall not be conducive any more for criminals" Odesayan

He said the state will no longer be conducive for criminals, until they surrender. He maintained that with a proactive policing his command will implore the use of intelligence gathering to embark on regular raid of criminal hideouts.
According to him, "I pledge to fight crimes and criminality headlong. Rivers state shall not be conducive any more for criminals. We shall be proactive in our policing. Intelligence gathering shall be the hallmark of my administration. We shall embark on regular raid of criminal hideouts"

"Ban on road block is still in force but I shall put in place descent stop and search mechanism which shall aid us in tracking kidnappers and armed robbers with the sole aim of recovering stolen properties".
Earlier, the commissioner frowned against the misconduct of some of his men collecting money from vehicles during their stop and search initiative, and  advised  members of the public to report any police caught collecting money from vehicle owners, stressing that over ninteen have been arrested by their patrol team and they are to face sanctions.

He however assured the people of Rivers to be law abiding.
"CP Francis  wishes to assure the good people of the State to remain confident and trust in his ability to dutifully discharge the police constitutional mandate of ensuring public peace and security", pledging that his administration will be focused and non-partisan in the course of discharging their duties".

MEET THE OLDEST PRISONER IN THE WORLD THAT SAID HE IS NOT GUILTY

MEET THE OLDEST PRISONER IN THE WORLD THAT SAID HE IS NOT GUILTY After serving 63 years for a crime he claims he did not commit, a Pennsylvania man is turning down the opportunity to be paroled from prison on principle. He claims he is innocent and should never have been convicted in the first place. Convicted for the 1953 murders of two people at the age of 15, the man has maintained his innocence for more than half a century. You have to hear his story. Seventy nine year old Joseph Ligon, was fifteen years old when he was tried and convicted for the stabbing deaths of Charles Pitts and Jackson Hamm. Five other youths were also charged. The deaths were the result of a gang brawl. Developmentally disabled, he admitted he had been part of the melee, but did not stab the two youths who were killed, and he has maintained his innocence throughout his ordeal. All of the other defendants in the case have either passed away or have been released from prison already. In 2010, Ligon spoke...

PLANNED REVOCATION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY OF NOVOTEL HOTEL ALONG STADIUM ROAD, PORT HARCOURT; A RECKLESS ABUSE OF POWER By comrade Barango-Tariah, Hope The governor of Rivers state, chief Barr. NEW has once again made an insidious and uninformed statement  while in church service yesterday. The statement which quoted the governor to have ordered the revocation of the C of O of a world class hotel like NOVOTEL is highly regrettable and practically condemnable because the statement is coming from the governor of a state that is in dare need of investors. Taking a careful, close and conscious look at the streets of port Harcourt will inform residents that the regularly tormenting and frustrating hold ups (go slow) are gradually on the decline without TIMARIV, traffic wardens now relax for more hours on their duty stands because the traffic on our roads are not what they used to be. The reason for this development is as a result of the daily eloping of investors from the ...
